3Rs School Recycling Drive on Saturday, September 21st from 9:00-11:00 am!

Together with the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, SLES is hosting a 3Rs School Recycling Drive on Saturday, September 21st from 9:00-11:00 am in our school parking lot. This is an opportunity for families and community members to drop off a variety of items to ReUse and ReCycle! All proceeds from redeemable HI-5 containers, scrap metal and used cooking oil will be donated to the SLES Student Council.

Welcome Back to School!

Welcome Back SLES Dolphins to the beginning of another exciting school year! The first day for students in Grades 1-6 is on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Grade K Parent Orientation will be at 8:30 am in the cafeteria followed by the classroom orientations. At 9:45 am there will be a Grade K Parent Workshop in the Library to provide some tips and strategies to help students with the transition to kindergarten.

The last day of school has arrived! School ends at 2:05 pm. Have a restful and rejuvenating Summer break. We look forward to seeing you at Meet & Greet on August 1st.

Summer Learning Hub

Summer Learning Hub Begins on Wednesday, June 19th!

Friendly reminder our Summer Learning Hub program is starting this week Wednesday, June 19, 2024! This year SLES received a grant from the Hawaii Food Bank as part of the Summer Food Services Programs to provide a FREE LUNCH for our students and siblings 18 years and younger. Lunches are prepackaged meal kits that must be consumed on campus. For more information about our lunch program, call the school office or email Mrs. Sumajit, [email protected]

Papa John's Fundraiser Thursday, May 9th!

Our last monthly Papa John’s Fundraiser will be on Thursday, May 9th. 25% of the sales will be donated to Salt Lake Elementary to support our Service Groups (JPO, Conflict Mediators, Mall Patrol and Student Council). School Community Council Elections Now Open!

The School Community Council (SCC) plays an important role in improving student achievement. The SCC helps craft the school's Academic Plan and Financial Plan, which establish the goals and programs for the school. Elections for the 2024-25 SCC are now open. Please use the Google form https://bit.ly/44BpxW9 to vote for our parent and community members by May 17, 2024. Only SLES Parents/Guardians may vote for the Community/Parent members. Thank you for your support of our school!

School Quality Survey (SQS) Parent Survey Due 3/15!

We need your input to help improve our school. The SQS Parent survey is available electronically. We kindly ask that you complete one survey per child before the survey closes on Friday, March 15, 2024.

24th Annual Fun Run this Wednesday, 2/28!

Our 24th Annual Fun Run is on Wednesday, February 28th at Salt Lake District Park from 8:30-11:00 am. If you haven't already done so, please turn in your fundraiser collection envelope. Tomorrow is Hat/Red Shirt Day. See you at the park with your running shoes!
